About

The Tin Whistle is a six-hole flute closely associated with Celtic music. Despite the alleged simplicity of the instrument, we managed to emulate its most interesting techniques, like glissando legato, frullato, vibrato and staccato.

No Layering Artifacts

The instrument avoids the typical phasing or "dual sound" effect often caused by layered crossfades. All transitions are seamless and natural, with a consistent, focused tone across the dynamic range.

Wide Dynamic Range

Smooth and natural response from soft, breathy notes to bright, forceful playing. The instrument stays expressive and musical across the full range of dynamics, without sounding synthetic or over-compressed.

Traditional Ornamentation

Includes a full set of folk-style articulations like mordents, forshlags, slide-ups, rolls, and trills. These are not just decorative — they react musically and are fully usable in real phrases and fast runs.

Round-robin Staccato

Short notes have body and variation, thanks to six round-robin layers. This makes fast figures and repeated notes sound fluid and alive — no machine-gun effect.

Vibrato and Frullato

Two expressive techniques that let you shape the tone of long notes. Both vibrato and frullato feel integrated — adding motion without ever sounding layered or artificial.
